Where Craft Meets Community

For over 50 years, the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum has preserved the artistry of craftsmanship and the spirit of innovation. Today, AGSEM is evolving into a living classroom where heritage meets sustainability—transforming a museum into a year-round educational hub.

The Past Inspires Our Future

Founded in 1969, AGSEM began as a celebration of agricultural heritage and the machines that powered American innovation. What started as a weekend gathering of enthusiasts has grown into a 55-acre campus showcasing glassblowing, blacksmithing, fiber arts, and sustainable living practices.

We believe preserving the past should empower the future. That’s why we’ve transformed from a static museum into a living classroom—a place where you don’t just observe history, you live it, learn it, and use it to create something new.

With decades of educational programming, expert instructors, and proven partnerships with schools, guilds, and local artisans, AGSEM has the experience and infrastructure to guide this next chapter of community-driven learning.
